Pure And Divine Love
The mind without Love is a burial ground, breathing is like a furnace. Chief purpose of Love is sacrifice. Love does not mean anything. Love will not criticize or harm others. It is selfless and pure. Man is not able to know such love yet he pines for it.
We should have full faith. Love is full of selflessness and sacrifice. The love of the mother and child, and wife and husband is tainted with selfishness. Divine Love is selfless and brings together those who stay apart. In the presence of Divine Love, the man with bestial qualities becomes Divine. Physical love gets transformed into Divine Love. To know true love, sacrifice selfishness and self-interest and develop the Divinity within. One must make efforts keeping in view the Divine love while unmindful of the obstacles. Even when we say brotherhood of man there is selfishness. Among brothers, there are differences of opinion so it cannot be called true love.
Entertain dharmic feelings that is uniform in all. Jewels are many but gold is one. The cows are of different colours but milk is one. Beings are many but the indweller is one. We should fill our hearts with love. If we pretend to love but harbour hatred in our heart, we betray ourselves. The one with Divine Love will never give it up. Many students, as long as they are in the Hostel and attend the Institute, are filled with love. They blame the company outside for the absence of love when they leave the hostel. If one's heart is full of unsullied love, it can never be changed.
For example, if there is a picture of a creeper on a piece of paper, no matter how much the paper blows in the wind, the creeper remains steady. The mind wavers but the heart remains steady. Since mind is the combination of thoughts, keep sacred thoughts and love secure in your heart. Love is like a triangle with the three corners of fearlessness, not begging, and Love for Love's sake.
A king went hunting and a rishi showed him hospitality. The king persistently requested the rishi to come to the kingdom. The rishi agreed and once inside the palace prayer room, the king prayed thus, "Oh lord! I should expand this kingdom by acquiring the neighbouring territories". The saint listened and left without taking food. The king inquired and the rishi replied that he didn't beg from beggars. The king was begging to God for a vaster kingdom, more territory so he was a beggar. The rishi said he would ask God directly. The one with true love won't beg. God will give you whatever you require. Oh mind! Don't ask for anything. Without asking, Rama performed the last rites of Jatayu. Once we pray with pure love, God will come running. You don't need to ask openly.
We face troubles because we go by the worldly way. The true love is the sacred inward path. When we follow it, all external procedures leave us. None knows of the riches present in God's treasury. You ask for mean things when God is ready to give higher things. You don't know what is good for you. Only God knows when, where and what to give. You should have such strong faith. Today devotion and faith are absent. We should have full faith in love.
God's love is infinite. Children pray more intensely during exams. You are not a beggar. If you pray without desire, God will give you. The Divine mother is inward. In the external world, you have to stretch your hand and ask. The doctor prescribes quinine when someone has malaria. Though it tastes bitter, the mother administers it because she knows it is for your good.
Pleasure is the interval between two pains. By mere prayer, will sugar cane give you juice? Gold has to be melted and hammered. This is of great importance. Everyone must attain this Divine love. Speech is the son of the mind. Mind is the son of I. I is the son of Atma. Father, son, grandson and great-grandson all belong to the family of the Atma. Sath-chit-ananda. This consciousness is God and is in everyone. We forget consciousness. Since you cannot see or catch air can you deny its existence? This is being or sath. Sath is Divinity which neither comes nor goes.
