Tread The Path Of Righteousness To Achieve Unity

All forms are the representation of peace;
All forms are the representation of goodness;
Non-duality is verily Sath-Chith-Ananda or Sathyam-Shivam-Sundaram

In this Universe, all that you see is peace only. All living creatures, with the organs of senses, are the reflections of beauty. The reason behind is, in all living beings, we find the same Divine principle - Sathyam, Shivam, Sundaram. Though these three aspects are present in man, he is not able to recognise them. Some centuries ago, even before Christ was born, Plato, the guru of Aristotle, declared that the basis for entire creation is, Sathyam-Shivam-Sundaram. Truth is the basis, changeless in all three periods. Goodness is true Divinity. The reason is Goodness is Godliness. Man will be able to understand his nature only if he recognises these three aspects of Sathyam-Shivam-Sundaram.

Today, man reads the Quran, the Bible, the Brahma sutra, the Bhagavat Gita, the Ramayana and other sacred texts. Alas, not able to understand his Self and not able to translate into practice what he has learnt, he is losing the peace inherent in him. What he does is like diluted buttermilk. However, love in practice is like a boiled, thick milk. Drinking this buttermilk when the milk-in-hand is available, are you not ignoring the higher taste? It is only practice that gives you strength in your life. Publicity, scholarship, pomp and show are just the external show. It is practice that is important and not preaching.

There is no trace of sacrifice in mankind today. But in ancient culture, it is stated

NAKARMANA NAPRAJAYA DHANENA THYAGE NAIKE AMRUTHATWA MANASUHU.

Neither by action nor by people, nor by wealth can you attain immortality. It is only through Sacrifice that you can attain immortality. So long as a greedy man has got money with him, he will disobey even God. The moment money is gone, he will start looking the world around. Till then he is unmindful of the world.

After completion of our degrees, we register our names in the employment office. Further, we seek jobs abroad. Instead you have to work for your village. It is there where you were born, brought up and educated; show gratitude to your village. But today, people have feelings of "I" and "Mine". Realize that all are children of God. Without any conflict develop brotherhood of man. Unity is very important. Work together. Students should be broad-minded. You all know the heart. It is not the physical heart which is in the left side. It is just the main switch to our body. But spiritual heart is present all over the body. There is no limit for it and also no boundary. It encompasses everything around. To all those your heart reaches, they are your relatives. With this attitude, you should achieve unity. You should not study for the sake of your stomach but for keeping up the culture. Once culture is developed, it is not difficult to live for the stomach. You have to take the village in the path of Dharma as it is said, "Dharmo Rakshathi Rakshitaha". Then the whole town will be in Dharma. Dharma, justice, understanding, tolerance are more in villages than in towns. In towns, we see courts, banks, universities etc. In spite of the advancement, we find injustice, horror and terror. Honesty and Integrity is more in village. Even among tribals in villages, there is Sathya and Dharma which is not prevailing in towns and cities. We are burning our culture and thereby our human qualities too.

Prevalent everywhere is the talk of money, money and money. For burning or for what? Are you utilising for your country or do you help some ten members with your money or do you utilise for the development of educational institutions? Nothing. This is like money hidden in a pit. We should not waste our life for money. We should sacrifice our life for Daya and Prema. You require money for your body. Sacrifice your body for reputation. For God, sacrifice your money, body, reputation and everything.

Do not give up Sathya and Dharma. "Sathyam Vada Dharmam Chara". Under any circumstances, whether you are imprisoned or going to be beheaded, do not give up truth and righteousness. Take Harishchandra as an example. In spite of all troubles and difficulties he did not give up the truth. At the end, the very same truth protected him and he got back all that he lost. What is the manure for Truth? It is Love. So develop love too. You should not be limited to feelings of "I" and "Mine". If you have to live in society with this attitude you can as well go to forest. You can say it is a dreadful disease. You are future leaders and pleaders. Today leadership is like this - Even if Harishchandra comes, we make him speak falsehood. That is why there is no Harishchandra. This is the effect of the Kali age. Say what you think. Act what you say. So long as truth and righteousness are adored, you are real students. If not, you are vishayarthis (one after sensual pleasures) rather than vidhyarthis.

Once upon a time, in Britain, in a bazaar, there was a person doing many jobs - paper seller, cobbler and address writer. As a cobbler while giving back the shoes after polishing, he would say "May God bless you". Even as an address writer, after accepting a few small coins, would say "Thanks, May God bless you". Such a man rose up to the status of being the Prime minister of England. The reason is faith and devotion. Churchill who had just joined the military, became the Prime minister. He also won the Nobel prize. He had no formal education. It is only by humility and faith that all become great. Out of education should come humility, from humility comes deservedness; from deservedness comes money. So encourage such poor students. Make them happy. Look, when the Golden chain was created and given, he forgot everything and became happy. Swami's thought, word and deed are always one. So, Swami has got right to say anything. This is called, "The proper study of mankind is man". Lead an ideal life; not an animal, demonic life. Remove stone-heartedness. Your heart should melt and flow.
